Buddy Systems

This step of the process is certainly as important as the others. We can say that "Buddy", in this case, assumes the role of mentor to the newest employees who are joining the team or taking on a new position. This person is responsible for mentoring and guiding others with the duties of accelerating professional and at times, personal development.

Having someone to look after and who can guide them is an essential tool in preparing new members for challenges within the company. In most cases, Buddy already has years of experience and extensive experience in the industry. Correctly selecting, training, and guiding is essential as they know all or almost all the obstacles and challenges that may arise along this trail. In addition to the venue's systems, operations, and stakeholders. Most buddy/mentors have already lived experiences allowing for successes and mistakes, and with that, they can help to show the shortcuts by sharing their knowledge.

However, every company knows that we cannot leave this person with so much responsibility. That's why it is necessary to develop a system and protocol respecting to whom the reports should be directed, the degree of urgency and severity of them, and the hierarchies established within your venue. Remember that the venue should have more than one buddy, and preferably occupy different positions.

This entire structure and built system enable a healthy environment for its employees, favouring their permanence and career plan.
