Induction is not Training

For the second element of our 42-days path, we wanted to highlight one of the biggest opportunities we see for brands in the hospitality industry.

Once the new staff member is hired you should not simply start out by training them.   Before starting a proper training path, there are two other steps that can make the total difference in the way how you retain that new employee in your team…Induction and onboarding.

To be successful this element involves a form of introduction about your brand that allows the new employee to learn the characteristics of their new job and what your vision is for the brand.

The reason we see it as important is that the company shares the values, vision and mission, in addition to the main internal rules and recommendations, avoiding future problems and questions. It is also during this process you can detect whether the candidate understands and shows a willingness to understand the culture of your company.

The sooner you detect it any issues at the start of someone’s employment, the more enjoyment they will face in their first 42 Days of working with you and the team.
